Property Sales and Rentals ABN: 87 028 694 109, is a registered Real Estate Agency, License No: 3007 037 and is an accredited member of REIQ. Property Sales and Rentals has a strict privacy policy in place in compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.

In acting on behalf of our clients and customers, Property Sales and Rentals may collect, use or disclose personal information about you for the purpose of:

~ Selling your property.

~ Purchasing a property for you.

~ Leasing a property to or for you.

~ Facilitating the lodgement or refund of a bond.

~ Settling a tenancy dispute.

~ Arranging repairs and maintenance on a property you own or lease.

~ Dealings with Government agencies ie - Titles Registry Office or RTA.

~ Recording or accessing information on tenancy services or databases.

~ Managing the client and business relationship.

The personal information we may collect, use or disclose about you includes but is not limited to:

~ Your full name.

~ The full name of you spouse, partner, dependent children or authorised occupants in a leased property.

~ You date of birth.

~ Your residential address.

~ Your postal address.

~ Your home, work or mobile telephone numbers.

~ Your occupation and business address.

~ Your email address.

~ Financial information including income, bank details & Employer.

~ Properties owned by you.

Disclosure of the above information may be made to the following:

~ Prospective buyers of a property you own and lease.

~ Sellers/lessors of property you are interested in buying/leasing.

~ Your nominated solicitor and the solicitors of the other parties to your transaction.

~ Your nominated financial institution, financial advisor insurance provider or broker.

~ Utility providers.

~ Tradespeople engaged to carry our repairs on a property you own or lease.

~ Government or non-Government agencies involved directly or indirectly in the management of our business or your transaction.

~ Tenancy information services or databases.

Where practical, personal information will be collected directly from you, but where necessary it will be collected from a third party or a publicly available source. While transacting services for you, your personal information may be entered into form generation software and real estate websites. A third party may acquire rights to use or disclose information entered into these forms or websites. We may, if necessary, disclose your personal information to recipients within Australia or to overseas recipients however, where this is deemed necessary, we take steps to protect the privacy of your information.

You have the right to request access to your information and to request changes where that information need to be updated or corrected. Such requests must be in writing and contain your name/s, address/s and signature/s. Property Sales and Rentals will take steps to verify the identity of anyone requesting release, correction or update of personal information and having done so will release the information within seven working days.

All documents containing your personal information will be stored securely during the period we are legally bound to keep these documents. At the expiration of this period, the documents will be securely disposed of or destroyed.
